Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): In support of the 2025 #10KSA initiative, which aims to increase awareness about the significance of prevention and early detection of all types of cancer, the Ministry of Health organized an interactive awareness event through the Public Health Directorate and the Health Promotion Directorate.
Health Ministry holds interactive awareness event in support of the 2025 #10KSA initiative
The Public Health Directorate hosted the event as part of the ministry’s continuous initiatives to raise health awareness and bolster a preventative culture. It also marks the initiative’s tenth anniversary. The program encourages individuals to lead healthy lives, get regular checkups, and inspire their families and communities to participate in preventive screenings. The program emphasizes that lowering cancer incidence and death requires early detection and prevention.
An interactive presentation on cancer prevention, early detection, and the impact of healthy lifestyle choices in lowering risk factors was part of the program, and it was given in collaboration with the Chronic Disease Clinics and the Health Promotion Directorate.
In order to help convey the initiative’s messages and promote broader public involvement, a lavender ribbon—a global symbol for awareness of all cancer types—will be formed on December 8. This event also promoted community participation.
As the event came to an end, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional and national initiatives to achieve sustainable health goals, lower the risk of chronic diseases, strengthen collaborations with pertinent organizations, and promote community health.
