October 7, Manama (BNA): His Majesty the King’s Representative for Youth Affairs and Humanitarian Work, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, gave the Bahrain Cycling Association instructions to prepare as best they can for the fifth iteration of His Highness’s Cycling Tour for Amateurs, which will take place from November 5–8 in collaboration with Faalyat Company.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad: Cycling tours are a promising platform for discovering talents
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized that the cycling tour helps increase young people’s involvement in competitive sports and seeks to establish sport as a way of life in Bahraini society, with a major positive impact on public health and quality of life.
The tour is a key component in developing a cycling culture and is a major way to showcase the Kingdom of Bahrain’s tourist attractions, particularly as it travels through several of the Kingdom’s governorates, according to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad. His Highness went on to say that it also inspires residents, GCC nations, and amateurs to play sports and find new skills. According to His Highness, the tour has had great success in the past four iterations in terms of participation and open competition among all participants.
In order to guarantee the tour’s success, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized the significance of collaboration between different stakeholders.
In order to promote camaraderie and athletic collaboration, the fifth edition will feature a variety of participation categories, such as Bahraini cyclists, citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and cyclists from GCC nations.
