October 25, Manama (BNA): At the 3rd Asian Youth Games, Bahraini competitors performed exceptionally well, taking home three gold medals from mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions held in the Kingdom through October 31.

After a string of outstanding wins, including a unanimous decision victory over Laith Al Gharaibeh in the quarterfinals, a submission victory over Daryn Mustafin in the semifinals, and another submission victory over Albaraa Ibrahim Al Ajmi in the final, Khalidov Ibragim won the 70kg title, making it a glorious day for Bahrain.

Abdulakim Babaev carried on Bahrain’s winning streak in the 65kg class, defeating Amirali Aliabadi, Omar Al Marzooqi, and Amir Serik before winning gold by submission against Haif Hassan Al Qahtani in the championship match.

Eldar Eldarov won the 60kg class, completing Bahrain’s golden triple. To win the third gold medal for the Kingdom, he defeated Aliasghar Moradi in the semifinals, Behruz Rustamov in the quarterfinals, and Mukhammadrasul Kadirdinov via submission in the final.

These accomplishments highlight Bahrain’s rising stature in mixed martial arts and demonstrate the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to nurturing homegrown talent in all sports.
