October 17, Manama (BNA): In an attempt to record a historic victory for the Kingdom, the Bahraini national 3×3 basketball team has finished its last preparations for the 3rd Asian Youth Games.

Under the direction of Serbian coach Bogdan and assistant coach Murtadha Mohammed, the team, which consists of Yousif Yaqoob Meshaei, Hassan Abdulqader, Somto Patrick, and Sergei Sekic, is prepared to do well at the Games.

The team has gained full readiness after a rigorous month-long preparation program that started during the Asian Championship in Mongolia, according to assistant coach Murtadha Mohammed. He said the best players were chosen by the technical team to play for the Kingdom.

He continued by saying that the squad wants to set a record for Bahrain in 3×3 basketball, which would demonstrate the sport’s consistent development and the players’ will to give it their all.

In order to foster team unity and enhance overall performance, he continued, the Bahrain Basketball Association offered complete technical and administrative support, along with a local training camp and multiple friendly games.

The team plays friendly matches against Germany’s Skyliners team, which is training in Bahrain, as part of its last preparation phase. According to Murtadha, these games will assist guarantee the team’s preparedness and act as the last test prior to the formal tournaments.

In the hopes that the Games will set a new standard for 3×3 basketball in the Kingdom and pave the way for future continental success, he expressed faith in the players’ skills and resolve to serve Bahrain with honor.
