There will be 96 competitors, including 32 world-class professionals, representing 20 Arab, Asian, and European nations. The only Arab golfer to win the event, Ahmed Marjan of Morocco, defending champion Thomas Selman of the United Kingdom, and pros Luke Joy, Jamie Elson, and Cole Madey are among the former champions competing.

The announcement that the tournament winner will receive an invitation to compete in the Bahrain leg of the DP World Tour (European Tour) has generated a lot of interest in this year’s event and added motivation for all competitors.

Scheduling, hospitality, lodging, transportation, and cooperation with the Royal Golf Club about technical arrangements for the course have all been finished by the Bahrain Golf Association.

Players from Bahrain’s national team of all ages will take part as well, earning experience by battling with top players.

With the help of Beyon Bahrain, which has sponsored the competition for 17 years running from its inception in 2007, the championship is held every year. Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Foulath Holding, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Khaleeji Bank, Kingdom Group, Crown Industries, Bapco Energies, Al Sharif Group, the Economic Development Board, Bahrain Scrapmold, APM Terminals, and Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) are among the national companies that provide additional support by sponsoring individual holes. The development of the championship and the expansion of golf in the Kingdom have both benefited from their ongoing support.
