Paris, March 19 (BNA): The UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education for 2026 is now accepting submissions, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.

Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma emphasized the significance of the international award, which was introduced at His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s royal initiative. He noted the award’s worldwide role in promoting creative projects that use technology to improve learning opportunities and education in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak, the 2026 edition’s theme, “Reimagining creativity and critical thinking using artificial intelligence,” aims to honor exceptional projects submitted by people, organizations, and non-governmental organizations worldwide that have been in operation for at least a year and make effective use of contemporary technologies to create and provide educational services.
He also stated that two winners will be chosen based on the recommendations of an independent international jury, and that UNESCO has set May 8, 2026, as the deadline for nominations, which must be made through national commissions of UNESCO member states or non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO.
