Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): To improve medical education and training and foster the sharing of professional and academic knowledge throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and the University of Bahrain (UoB) inked a collaboration agreement.
RMS, UoB sign cooperation agreement to enhance medical education in Bahrain
Senior officials from both sides were present as Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of RMS, and Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, signed the agreement.
The agreement focuses on creating collaborative medical education and training programs, conducting and disseminating scientific research, planning conferences, classes, and workshops, and sharing medical and academic knowledge. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen clinical training and build national capacities to raise the standard of healthcare and education.
According to Dr. Juma, the agreement is a significant step toward improving academic and research collaboration between the Kingdom’s universities and medical facilities. He pointed out that the sharing of scientific and training knowledge will improve medical education and research standards and help nurture national potential.
According to Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa, the agreement supports research, academic training, and knowledge exchange, which helps to improve healthcare services and build national competences.
The agreement demonstrates the Services’ dedication to forming strategic alliances with Bahraini academic and medical establishments in order to promote the advancement of healthcare, education, and service quality.
