Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): To improve academic and professional cooperation between the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute and the university in legal studies and vocational training, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Royal University for Women signed a cooperation memorandum.

Professor Riyad Yousif Hamzah, President of the Royal University for Women, and Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, signed the note.

Minister Al Maawda emphasized the significance of this collaboration in bolstering legal and professional development initiatives, pointing out the ministry’s dedication to maintaining partnerships with national academic institutions that enhance national legal competencies and allow them to acquire contemporary skills that satisfy the demands of legal and judicial work.

Professor Hamza, for his part, said that the university is proud to have signed the MoU with the government. He emphasized the university’s desire for a successful collaboration that supports the advancement of legal education, the sharing of professional and scholarly knowledge, and involvement in the training of competent legal cadres who can keep up with the swift advancements in the legal sciences.

The signing of the cooperation memorandum with the Royal University for Women, according to Judge Dr. Riyadh Mohamed Seyadi, Director of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, is a strategic step toward improving the caliber of professional legal training in the Kingdom of Bahrain and connecting academic and practical aspects. In accordance with national directives to support the justice system, he clarified that this collaboration will help create specialized training programs and content that keep up with the demands of the legal industry and judicial organizations.

The memorandum’s signing is a part of efforts to support initiatives that aim to create and maintain foundational programs for lawyers and students, as well as to prepare and qualify national legal cadres, through collaboration in providing professional training programs and creating specialized academic materials that improve the legal knowledge and skills necessary to practice law effectively and professionally.

Along with benefiting from the Royal University for Women’s expertise in information technology, multimedia, digital transformation, training quality, and academic accreditation, both parties will also share academic and practical expertise in the areas of legal education and training, including the design and implementation of specialized training programs and coordination in organizing joint scientific and professional events and activities.
