October 15, Manama (BNA): In the presence of board members and guests, the University of Bahrain’s Board of Trustees convened its fourth meeting of 2025, presided over by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Board Chairman.
UoB Board holds regular meeting; celebrates entry into Times Higher Education ranking for first time
As the first national institution in Bahrain to be included in the worldwide ranking, Dr. Juma complimented the Board on the university’s first appearance in the Times Higher Education World institution Rankings since its founding in 1986.
The Board read the World Bank’s report on Bahrain Teachers College, which praised the college’s successful collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the caliber of its teacher training programs. Additionally, members evaluated progress reports on current relationships with universities and research institutions and talked about updates on local and international collaborative projects.
After reviewing the findings from the external auditor and the suggestions made by the Audit and Finance Committee, the Board also approved the final accounts for 2024 for the university and Bahrain Teachers College.
