Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): As part of its environmental awareness campaigns, the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) organized a youth-focused workshop on trash management innovation in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs. In honor of National Environment Day, SCE organized a series of awareness workshops with the goal of promoting waste management innovation and environmental protection.

According to SCE Chief Executive Amna Hamad Al Rumaihi, young people are a vital component of the country’s environmental initiatives. She emphasized the value of funding their concepts and imaginative abilities in order to produce ground-breaking solutions that improve recycling infrastructure and environmental sustainability.
In keeping with the Kingdom’s strategy for including youth in environmental and development projects, Al Rumaihi went on to say that the session demonstrates SCE’s dedication to empowering youth and enhancing collaboration with the ministry.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs is dedicated to empowering and assisting young people to use their creative ideas and initiatives to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, according to Nani Butti, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Initiatives. By establishing strategic partnerships across sectors, she said, MYA aims to increase the role of youth in decision-making and active participation in national development. This will allow them to demonstrate their vision and abilities, increase their positive societal impact, and help shape a prosperous and sustainable future for the Kingdom.
The session highlighted notable recycling experiences through the Bahraini Zero Waste effort and covered topics such as important authorized environmental measures and good waste management practices in the Kingdom.
Additionally, it included group working sessions where teams of participants developed technology solutions for recycling and waste collection, and the results were discussed.
