Manama, Nov. 5 (BNA): Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Interior and President of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), was met by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
Interior Minister receives Medal of Highest Order from INTERPOL President
Major General Dr. Al Raisi and his delegation were greeted by Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah as they were attending the Ministry of Interior’s inaugural Middle East International Border Management and Technology Conference. He emphasized the long-standing ties between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the dedication to improving coordination, cooperation, and knowledge sharing in all facets of security operations.
The President of INTERPOL awarded the Interior Minister the INTERPOL Medal of the Highest Order in honor of his exceptional achievements to strengthening international collaboration in advancing world peace and security. Prime ministers, interior ministers, and heads of state are given the medal.
The interior minister was pleased to receive this honor, which he described as an acknowledgement of the ministry’s contribution to efforts to promote security and stability as well as the values of international cooperation and integration in order to achieve regional security and world peace.
He expressed gratitude for INTERPOL’s outstanding and professional efforts in assisting international law enforcement agencies and praised the Ministry of Interior and INTERPOL‘s current collaboration as well as the effective measures taken in addressing security issues and fighting organized crime.
In order to promote security cooperation and enhance performance in tackling present and future security concerns, the meeting covered a number of security-related topics.
