Nov. 2, Manama (BNA): The Captain’s Club and Masar Group, a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company “Mumtalakat” and a top supplier of logistics and marine services, have inked a deal to start a boat club with the goal of introducing novel and varied marine services—the first of their kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Sea aficionados will be able to drive boats instead of owning them at a reasonable and accessible price thanks to the project.
Masar Group, Captain Club announce launch of boat club in Bahrain
Offering a unique substitute for boat ownership, the Captain’s Club is the biggest boat club in the area. After finishing training, members can enjoy operating boats themselves, saving them over 90% of the typical costs and avoiding the complications of ownership. With over a decade of expertise in the Arabian Gulf, the club runs a fleet of more than 200 boats, including sailboats, speedboats, watersports vessels, fishing boats, and cabin cruisers, to suit different tastes.
Members will be able to enjoy boating after completing specialized training thanks to this agreement, which was inked on the fringes of the Gateway Gulf 2025 Forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain, guaranteeing a simple and secure sailing experience. By giving members regular access to boats and improving their nautical experiences without the typical responsibilities and burdens, this model provides an alternative to traditional boat ownership.
In front of representatives and board members from both sides, Yusuf Khalifa Al Manea, CEO of Masar Group, and Zaid Shouli, CEO of The Captain’s Club, signed the contract.
Masar Group Chairman Husain AlQaseer made the following statement on this occasion: “We believe in supporting innovative initiatives that contribute to diversifying the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for marine and tourism services.” The Captain’s Club and Masar Group’s collaboration is a calculated move toward offering everyone access to cutting-edge nautical services. It also shows our dedication to promoting sustainable business models built on productive collaborations. We anticipate that this project will expand and have a noticeable positive impact.
“We started our journey more than ten years ago with the aim of providing a smart and innovative solution for sea enthusiasts,” stated Zaid Shouli, CEO of The Captain’s Club. Our goal of making boating accessible to all is reflected in our expansion throughout the GCC nations. A calculated move to increase our influence and fortify our position in a promising and crucial area is to enter the Bahraini market.
Yusuf Khalifa Al Manea concluded: “We are proud of this partnership, which will support efforts to continue enhancing, diversifying, and advancing marine services in the Kingdom of Bahrain” .
Currently, the club has over 20 sites around the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including 13 in the United Arab Emirates, two in the Sultanate of Oman, two in the State of Qatar, two in the State of Kuwait, and one in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The club’s first location in the Kingdom is in Bahrain, signifying a significant regional growth and highlighting the rising demand for its cutting-edge offerings.
