August 21, Manama (BNA): The Kurdistan Foundation sent a delegation led by Dr. Yara Barzanji, the Foundation’s director general, to Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayyed, secretary general of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS).
Strategic partnership between SCYS, Kurdistan Foundation to support youth empowerment
Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Assistant Secretary-General of the SCYS; Shaikha Deena bint Rashid Al Khalifa, Planning and Development Advisor at the Ministry of Youth Affairs; Noora Ahmed Al Balushi, Director General of Planning and Resources at the General Secretariat of the SCYS; and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the meeting. The delegation also featured Vina Sherzad Sultan, Business Liaison Supervisor; Ahmad Safa, Communications Director; and Ghashbin Tariq Najeeb, Director of Partnerships, from the Kurdistan Foundation.
The purpose of the conference was to examine ways to improve collaboration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kurdistan Region, namely in the area of youth, with an emphasis on sharing knowledge and creating cooperative projects and programs that promote young empowerment.
Almoayyed emphasized the significance of promoting regional and global collaboration in youth and sports, pointing out that these gatherings support the creation of programs and projects that benefit Bahrain’s young as well as knowledge sharing and capacity building.
Dr. Barzanji, on her part, conveyed gratitude for the strong connections between Kurdistan and the Kingdom. She emphasized that through a variety of programs, like as the online volunteering platform Volunteer.KRD, the Kurdistan Foundation seeks to empower people and advance principles of community involvement and belonging.
In order to create useful projects and programs that benefit young people in both areas and serve as a conduit for intercultural dialogue and collaboration, the parties decided to keep working together.
A non-profit organization called the Kurdistan Foundation works to enable young people in the Kurdistan Region to acquire the skills and self-reliance necessary to contribute to a thriving society. The three primary focuses of its activities are advancement, belonging, and building. Through strategic partnerships, the Foundation seeks to strengthen national identity, assist youth and women’s empowerment, foster community involvement and volunteerism, protect cultural heritage, and advance international cooperation.
Offer to help. One of the Foundation’s main projects is KRD. It links volunteers with community opportunities and promotes sustainable development, making it the first digital platform for volunteering in the Kurdistan Region.
