Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): The Interior Ministry sponsored the third joint exercise of the International Security Alliance, which was opened by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. Nine participating nations—the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, France, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Senegal, Singapore, and Morocco—as well as representatives from law enforcement agencies, specialized tactical and technical teams, rapid intervention units, aviation, communications, and media are involved in the alliance’s first-ever field-based exercise.

A briefing was given to Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah regarding the exercise’s progress, participant coordination, implementation stages, and field performance. He pointed out that the exercise shows a high level of operational capability and preparedness for dealing with security events. Additionally, he watched a portion of the International Security Alliance’s scheduled events, emphasizing how well members interacted with one another and handled simulation scenarios.
The United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was thanked by the Interior Minister for taking the initiative to form the alliance and providing support to its General Secretariat, which is based in Abu Dhabi. He emphasized the importance of working with foreign partners and highlighted the alliance’s expanding cooperative role in advancing regional security and stability. He pointed out that the alliance has already helped identify multiple cross-border cases and apprehend individuals, and that the coordination of international operations and the sharing of experience strengthen the battle against transnational crime.
In order to improve community safety and fight organized crime, he emphasized the need of thorough planning and the function of cooperative exercises in fostering member state cooperation. The alliance’s operational strategy, he continued, fosters the growth of strategic alliances that uphold regional and global stability.
The Interior Minister pointed out that established frameworks for collaboration based on common goals and collaborative assessments of capabilities are necessary to meet the challenges of contemporary international security. According to him, ongoing training and drills, cohesive ideas for handling dangers, and the sharing of knowledge and experience would improve everyone’s preparedness and have a beneficial impact on general security and stability. He wished each participant well in achieving the exercise’s objectives and vision.
