November 12, Manama (BNA): Through the “Tas’heel” program, which offers qualified citizens the choice of a plot allocation backed by BD 40,000 in construction financing, the Housing Ministry and Urban Planning has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the handover of residential plot projects in the Northern Governorate.
Housing Ministry affirms continued delivery of alternative housing services to citizens
The ministry reported that the electronic draw procedure is operating without a hitch, with committed teams helping recipients at every level of the selection process and outlining their alternatives. It further stated that, in accordance with the ministry‘s planned approach, communication is still ongoing with citizens who have been shortlisted for the next phase of housing solutions, which includes 804 housing services.
The current plan provides three alternate pathways for home ownership as part of efforts to meet housing requests that date back to 2004 and earlier. These include an apartment option with a BD 3,000 grant and a two-year waiver of maintenance fees for shared facilities; a financing package of up to BD 70,000 under “Tas’heel,” augmented by a non-refundable BD 10,000 grant; and the allocation of a residential plot with financing through the “Tas’heel” program and a two-year housing allowance.
