Social Development Ministry Undersecretary inspects production units and training workshops at Mubarak Jassim Kanoo Social Centre
The Undersecretary emphasized during the visit that the production units and training workshops offer productive families a comprehensive opportunity, starting with the acquisition of knowledge and skills through specialized training, followed by the application of these skills in production units outfitted to the highest technical and health standards, and ending with the marketing of products through the center’s permanent store. According to him, this cycle gives families more chances to broaden their horizons and boost their income.
He clarified that by allowing families to produce high-quality food and handicrafts, this integrated approach improves their capacity to compete in the local market and fosters a culture of independence and production. He continued by saying that such programs support the growth of the national economy and are a useful complement to the Ministry’s efforts at social and economic empowerment.
The center offers a variety of training programs to suit a range of skills and interests. It consists of 18 specialized production units devoted to the food industry, as well as six advanced training workshops in food, handicrafts, the arts, and other productive disciplines. Additionally, it offers a range of useful programs and courses to help participants hone their abilities and expand their creativity.
Additionally, the center has a permanent store that sells and promotes the goods made by successful Bahraini families. By allowing the community to see and actively support family-made products, the shop acts as an integrated marketing platform, boosting their commercial presence and creating further development and expansion options.
